Chat

Chat system offers you a means to send message to others, including friends, teammates etc.

Chat channels include Galaxy, Normal, Team, Whisper, Battle, Trade, Group, Legion channels etc.
In Galaxy Channel, all players on the server can see the messages.
In Normal Channel, players around you can see the messages.
In Whisper Channel, messages are exchanged between two players privately.
In Team, Group or Legion Channel, only those in the same team, group or legion can see the messages.

First, use Enter to activate the Chat Box. You will find the cursor in Chat Bar, and now you can send your messages. The blue icons can be clicked to achieve functions including sending expression, changing chat channel, customizing instant messages, and sending actions:

To whisper to someone, you can right-click his/her avatar and choose Whisper.



Then you will see Whisper Channel in Chat Bar, and the whisper messages between you are shown in purple like this. Click his/her name in the Chat Box, and you can continue to whisper to him/her.

There are 9 Chat Channels in all in which you can choose to talk. You can click  to choose channel. The active channel will have a tick on its left. Now I'm in [Normal] [Channel] .
 
Or you can just type /1 in Chat Bar and press Enter or Space to change to [Normal] [Channel] very fast. Then you can speak in that chosen channel. The hotkey of these 9 channels are the numbers in front of them ranging from /1 to /9. If you are in Team, Group or Legion Channel, only those in the same team, group or legion can see the messages.

In battle condition, it's easier to use instant message. You can customize your instant message by clicking. Then in the new small window that pops up, input the message in the box and save and close the box. Next time you just need to use the hotkey Alt+1 for the message 'Go,go,go! Let's fight!'

To have more fun, you can even send interesting expressions including the following ones:

For your trade convenience, we offer you a way to paste item information into Chat Bar. You can open your Item Bin and click on the item whose name you'd like to copy while pressing CTRL. Thus, the item's name is in chatting box.



Then press Enter to send it. This function will help you a lot for some items with special attributes.

Notice that messages are marked in different colors from different channels.

In [Galaxy] Channel, players can only send one message in one minute. To speak more frequently, you have to consume Galaxy Communicator. Moreover, players are recommended to speak English in [Galaxy] Channel.
