The Enhancement system gives you a way to enhance your equipment’s attribute value!  If you take a look at the picture below, you can clearly see the difference in value after a successful Enhancement; the item is rewarded with additional value to one of its attributes.  So if you are not satisfied with your current equipment, or you simply want to improve your overall effectiveness, please read on!
Here is how a Raider with armor enhanced to level 9 looks like.

Note: Enhancement Currently consists of a maximum of (9)/(9) with 12 Projected Levels.

Extra value is added to the basic attribute of the equipment. The picture below demonstrates the difference between a non-enhanced armor and an enhanced level 1 armor.

What is Enhancement?

The picture shows us that Enhancement is a good function for adding to equipment’s attribute value. Currently, you can Enhance items 12 levels(9 levels implemented so far). Enhancement from Level 0 to Level 1 has a 100% success rate. As you go up in Enhancement levels, each has its own success rate. Details as follows:

The Enhancement system is available for your Mechbody, Weapons, Controllers and Armor, which all overall affect your Mech’s battle power. In order to further enhance your battle effectiveness, it is important to master this system!

1. Enhancement Material.

Enhancement requires only 1 material, which is classified into 2 kinds according to their category: System Enhancement Program and System Enhancement Alloy. You can get Basic Material directly from killing monsters in the battlefield. Different materials work with different types of equipment, the relation between materials and equipment is shown below:
Controllers and Armor > Enhancement Programs
Mech Bodies / Weapons / Shields > Enhancement Alloys

Besides Basic Enhancement Material used for ordinary equipment, another kind of Enhancement Program/Alloy is Special Enhancement Program/Alloy and it is usually used for Special Equipment (for details on Special Equipment, please see the “Compose” section). Special Equipments are unique parts dropped from Battlefield/Instances such as Ophy Airdrop Bin(lvl 25) and Impasse Passage(lvl 50).

Basic Enhancement Material has 5 grades, which range from “Primary” to “Super”. “Primary” Enhancement Materials are used to enhance from level 1 to level 3. “Medium” Enhancement Material for level 4-6, “Elite” Material for level 10-11, and “Super” for the highest level; 12.

Besides the slot for Basic/Special Enhancement Material, there are 2 additional slots for Special Material (Do not confuse this with Special Enhancement Material) that is used to increase the success rate , such as Enhancement Improvement Program(5% success rate bonus),  Enhancement Energy Improvement Spar(100% success rate from level 1~6) and Large Enhancement Energy Improvement Spar(100% success rate from level 7~9).

2. How to enhance?

With the required materials and enough EC to perform the enhancement, visit the <Enhancement Technician> NPC who can be found in different areas in Bases such as Base Liron or Base Abergate. Talk to the NPC and choose “Mechbody Enhancement” to open the Enhancement interface.

Put your items in their corresponding slots and click the “Begin” button.  Please note that if the Enhancement fails, you will also lose the Basic Enhancement material and the EC.

Each successful Enhancement creates a pentagram below the name of the equipment, this symbolizes the improvement of your equipment.

If you're finding it harder to complete a higher level enhancement don't fret, there is an item that provides a 5% bonus to your success rate, you may use up to two. Failed Enhancements do not downgrade your equipment, in fact, they increase the success rate of future enhancements. So long as your patient you'll always be able to enhance your equipment!
